To keep our community engaged and inspired, we’re looking for a passionate Content Writer Volunteer who’s excited about career and talent development, especially for Gen Z. If you love creating content, keeping up with social media trends, and making an impact, this role is for you.
The Role
As a Content Writer Volunteer, you’ll create engaging, short-form articles and resources published directly on our Circle platform. Your content will provide actionable insights and tips for students and graduates navigating their career journey, from building commercial awareness to securing internships and jobs.
You’ll work with our team to stay attuned to community needs and social media trends, ensuring your writing resonates with our audience and keeps them coming back to the platform. We’ll train you on how to use Circle to publish your content.
This is a project-based, remote volunteer role requiring around 4–6 hours per week, with flexibility based on your schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write and publish short articles on Circle, covering topics such as:
- Building CVs and LinkedIn profiles.
- Tips for securing and excelling in work experience opportunities.
- How to turn internships into graduate roles.
- Company and industry deep dives for commercial awareness.
- Sector insights and social trends shaping the future of work.
- Monitor and engage with community feedback on Circle to refine your content.
- Stay updated on career-related social media trends to inform timely, relevant articles.
- Work collaboratively with the team to brainstorm content ideas and maintain a publishing schedule.
- Learn and use Circle tools effectively for content creation and community engagement.
What an Average Week Looks Like
- Research & Trends: Spend 1–2 hours researching career topics and monitoring social media for trends.
- Content Writing & Publishing: Dedicate 2–3 hours to drafting, editing, and publishing content on Circle.
- Community Engagement: Respond to member comments or feedback on your articles.
- Team Collaboration: Join a quick virtual call or email exchange to brainstorm ideas or review content strategy.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: Background in writing, content creation, marketing, or a related field is preferred but not essential.
- Passion: Excited about career and talent development, particularly for Gen Z. An understanding of challenges faced by students and graduates entering the job market is a bonus.
- Skills:
- Excellent writing, editing, and research skills.
- Familiarity with social media trends and how they influence career development topics.
- Attributes:
- Self-motivated and creative, with a finger on the pulse of youth and career trends.
- Willing to learn new tools and adapt content to meet community needs.
- Availability: Able to dedicate 4–6 hours per week.
