Job description

Talking Shop is a shop and café, run for the community by the community. There are opportunities in our kitchen, shop or cleaning teams. Whether you’re completing your Duke of Edinburgh Award, gaining experience, or looking to make an impact, Talking Shop offers a supportive environment where you can learn new skills and have fun with our great team.

Qualifications

You don’t need any special skills or qualifications. You do need to be hard-working and reliable, with a willingness to learn new tasks and develop yourself.

Training

We’ll train you for your work with us, for example in the basics of working with food, or Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene for Catering if you will be working in the kitchen.

Shifts

*Very flexible: lots of different shifts (2-2.5 hours) are available to suit your interests and schedule, and even just a few hours of your time can make a big difference. Monday to Friday, between 8 am and 5 pm, Saturday, between 8 am and 2 pm.
