Job description

Job Title: VOIP Engineer

Location: Inverness

Type: Contract

Scope of Work:

We are seeking an experienced field engineer to provide on-site support. The role involves troubleshooting and resolving connectivity issues related to two new IP phones and two TP Link routers. The engineer will work with backup support from the BT Cloud team.

Responsibilities:

1. Troubleshoot connectivity issues with IP phones and TP Link routers.
2. Perform physical checks on equipment and connections.
3. Ensure IP phones and routers are properly configured and connected to the network.
4. Collaborate with the BT Cloud team for backup support and escalations.
5. Provide updates and documentation of work completed.
6. Ensure adherence to all safety and compliance standards while on-site.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience in network support, troubleshooting, and hardware installations.
2. Hands-on experience with IP phones and TP Link routers.
3. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
4. Strong communication skills to provide regular updates and escalate issues when necessary.
5. Ability to work under pressure to resolve issues efficiently.
6. Availability to start ASAP.
