Tutor - Vocational Courses


Location: Barrow in Furness

Salary: Up to £30,000

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (Monday - Friday, Centre-Based)

Your Role as a Tutor
  1. Deliver engaging in-person training sessions to a caseload of learners
  2. Develop lesson plans & learning resources to meet individual needs
  3. Assess and mark learners' work, ensuring quality and compliance
  4. Work towards agreed targets with full support from the Manager
  5. Promote additional training opportunities to learners
  6. Collaborate closely with the Quality and IQA team

What We're Looking For
  1. Strong communication & interpersonal skills
  2. Ability to adapt teaching style to different learners
  3. Self-motivated and organised, with great time management

Essential Qualifications & Experience:
  1. Teaching Qualification (e.g., PTLLS or equivalent)
  2. Assessor Qualification (or willingness to work towards)
  3. Functional Skills Level 2 in Maths, English, and IT
  4. Competency in subjects such as Team Leading, Customer Service, Business Admin, or Employability (desirable)
