The VNA Driver is responsible for operating Very Narrow Aisle forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise within a warehouse. This role requires a keen understanding of warehouse operations, attention to safety protocols, and the ability to work in tight spaces to maximize storage capacity.
Forklift Operation:
Safely operate VNA forklifts in narrow aisles and confined spaces.
Manoeuvre the forklift to pick up, transport, and place materials in designated locations.
Material Handling:
Load and unload materials from trucks or storage areas using the VNA forklift.
Stack and organize products in a systematic and efficient manner.
Inventory Management:
Perform accurate counts of inventory during material handling processes.
Assist in periodic physical inventory counts as needed.
Safety Compliance:
Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
Conduct pre-operation checks on the forklift and report any maintenance or safety issues.
Communication:
Collaborate with warehouse team members to coordinate material movements.
Report any discrepancies or issues with inventory or equipment promptly.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure that products are handled and stored in a manner that preserves quality.
Report any damaged or defective products to the appropriate personnel.
Efficiency and Productivity:
Work efficiently to meet daily production goals and deadlines.
Optimize space utilization within the warehouse through strategic material placement.
