Additional Information
- This role is Permanent Full-time, 76hrs / fortnight
- The internal job title for this role is Visual Merchandising / Activity Co-worker
- You must have the availability to work 7 : 00am – 3 : 00pm Monday to Friday (and occasional weekend or public holiday shifts according to business needs)
- As part of the recruitment process this role requires a pre-employment check for final candidates.
- If you are successful for this role, you will be required to obtain a National Police Check.

About this Work Area
As Visual Merchandising Co-worker your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to :
- Contributing to positioning the IKEA store as the first choice for home furnishing in your local market.
- Providing home furnishing solutions for a single product or a combination of products to improve people's life at home.
- Demonstrating the uniqueness of the IKEA product range, using visual merchandising to tell compelling stories that inspire and engage customers.
- Designing and optimising store layouts to create a seamless and intuitive customer journey, balancing commercial priorities, operational efficiency, customer convenience, and inspiration.
- Planning and implementing range presentation solutions aligned with the IKEA brand identity, tailoring globally prescribed packages to reflect local market needs, seasonal trends, and customer insights.
- Leverage your expertise in visual merchandising and deep knowledge of the local market to enhance the customer experience, drive sales, and strengthen IKEA's brand in the community.
- Collaborating with key stakeholders across departments to ensure that range presentation and layout solutions are commercially effective.
Who You Are
As Visual Merchandising Co-worker you are :
- Passionate about implementing your designs from a sketch into reality, as you are a practical and hands-on individual with proven time management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Proactive and solutions-oriented, bringing a can-do attitude to your work and consistently seeking opportunities to improve and grow.
- Adaptable and open to change, thriving in a dynamic retail environment and seeing change as an opportunity to innovate and create value.
- Curious and driven to understand home furnishing and people's everyday life at home, applying core visual merchandising principles.
- A creative thinker, with a keen eye for aesthetics and visual composition.
- A natural collaborator, comfortable leading cross-functional teams and capable of engaging & effectively communicating with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit or similar space planning software and Microsoft office.
- A tertiary qualification or relevant experience in Visual merchandising / related design field is required for this role, preferably within home furnishing.
- Comfortable working at heights, with strong commitment to safety.
