Job Description:

Creative/ Display responsibilities:

Create a retail environment that appropriately represents the Harrods brand, mission statement and goals.

Implement and execute eye-catching product displays to attract and inspire customers and improve sales.

Execute all creative schemes ensuring they are installed efficiently and in a timely manner whilst adhering to all Harrods procedures and keeping all key stakeholders informed.

Develop store trends and creatively influence all schemes, ensuring all installations are stimulating and demonstrate a clear point of difference across the store.

Work directly with the brand experience division, retail, and buying team on the selection of key merchandise to promote trends and influence sales.

Work closely with the Harrods Partnerships team and brands to approve brand windows, pop-ups, and activations to ensure they meet Harrods regulations.

Provide a centralized VM resource to all out of store locations depending on category-specific requests. Work closely with the HBeauty team to ensure consistency across promotions and seasonal schemes, as well as offsite support on store openings and events.

Seek feedback from colleagues and source guest shopping feedback on the visual impact of displays and coordinate the required changes/updates.

Maintain the VM standards by continually reviewing product placement and merchandise layout.

Provide feedback to the VM Manager on the impact on sales and create a visual record of all schemes that have been implemented.

Identify and source props, fabrics, hardware, and lighting.

Create visual merchandising packs to communicate visual guidelines including layout principles, styling, visual dressings, and signage.

Ensure all displays and styling within the store are consistent with the creative direction for both internal and external brand guidelines.

Keep aware of all new trends and materials, ensuring you are continually implementing innovative, luxury displays and have a passionate understanding of all trends, products, and brands.

Line Management and Divisional responsibilities:

Manage and motivate a team of VM’s to create an open environment of communication and continued feedback.

Identify the development needs of the team and play an active role in supporting their development.

Carry out the performance reviews of the team.

Prepare and create an operational VM schedule that is aligned with the store calendar and retail needs.

Carry out comparison shop walks with your team to maintain awareness of other retailers' visual merchandising concepts. Study your competitors and continually brainstorm creative solutions.

Conduct weekly floor walks with your team, retail, and buying directorates to ensure all product categories are appropriately presented and are trend-focused.

Other:

Due to the nature of the role, there is a requirement to work outside of store opening hours; including late nights, night work, and bank holidays. The role also requires physical fitness, lifting, and working at heights as well as the flexibility to be part of a centralized VM team to ensure all VM and brand standards are upheld across all Harrods properties.

Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s):

Implementation of innovative and creative displays so that Harrods brand standards are both maintained and continually elevated.

Project management of visual schemes that are implemented on time; within budget and have a positive impact on sales.

Schemes accomplished correctly, on time, and impact on sales achieved.

Create a team working schedule that follows the needs of the Harrods brand across a multi-site location.
