Duration of Appointment: Spring

Work Schedule: Choral / Wind / Orchestral rehearsals / performances as required to record enough video footage – this will be mostly evenings, and a few weekends. Editing can be at your convenience.

Position Description

Position Summary: This position will attend a portion of weekly choral, wind, and orchestral rehearsals / concerts during the academic year to take professional-quality videos. Recordings will be edited with the end result being short videos for social media / marketing purposes.

Experience Preferred

Previous experience recording live music

Skills, Characteristics Required For Position

• Should be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
• Demonstrates dependability and reliability
• Maintain a positive working relationship with faculty and staff, especially while recording performances

Dress Code Requirements

Concert appropriate dress when required.

Primary Duties

• Availability during rehearsal and performance times (you do not need to attend the entire rehearsal or performance, but enough to get the necessary footage)
• Video record rehearsals and performances on location as requested
• Ensure that equipment is present and working prior to each performance
• Edit the footage in post-production (guidelines will vary based on type and length of performance)
• Post finished videos to various social media channels, and/or provide the videos to various faculty / staff
• Maintain consistent and reliable attendance
