About Kwoon

Kwoon has a mission to preserve and share ancient and modern wisdom. In the coming age of AI, we think this is more important than ever.

We do this by finding the foremost masters in a variety of fields, and making video training courses. These are made available for purchase on our website, www.kwoon.co. We also make short-form, free content, which over time will ensure Kwoon is a rich online destination for curious people looking to enhance their lives or find guidance in periods of change.

We have filmed some of the UK's most respected practitioners in the fields of Tai Chi, Feng Shui, motivational speaking and Kung Fu, and are aiming to make 15 more courses by August 2025.

This is an opportunity to join an exciting company in its infancy, with scope to grow the team and learn invaluable wisdoms from top Masters.

About the role

You will be based onsite at our filming facility just south of Bromley, South East London. The Videographer's responsibilities include:

  1. Solo set-up and operation of a basic 2-camera, sound recording and lighting setup.
  2. Direction of our Masters, working from a course structure, helping them impart their wisdom in a way that is accessible to a curious, intelligent audience.
  3. Working closely with our video editors, ensuring that precise notes are kept during filming so that the post-production stage is as efficient as possible.

Hours will be daytime, roughly 9.30am-5.30pm, four days per week. Some flexibility in which four days are worked in a given week is appreciated but not a prerequisite. We are also open to offers to spread those hours across 5 days.

About you

This role is ideally suited to someone with a keen sense of curiosity about the world, and a desire to gain experience in the field of video production.

Essential skills/characteristics:

  1. An easy way with people: friendly, welcoming, capable of helping our course practitioners relax and do their best work.
  2. Able to demonstrate curiosity about the field of human thought and wisdom: this could be through study (for example, one of our video editors has a degree in Philosophy & Ethics) or personal projects. Those with an interest in wellness, health and psychology may also be interested in this role.
  3. An organised approach to work: you will be solely responsible for managing filming workflow and recorded media, and meticulous record-keeping is essential for our video editors to work effectively.
  4. Demonstrable experience of using studio lights, sound recording and video equipment.
  5. Able to demonstrate an understanding of video and sound/audio editing (we use Adobe Premiere), which will help ensure that our Editors have what they need.

The offer from us:

Salary: £25,000 per annum, for 4 days of work per week (this is the total annual salary you will receive)
