Required for September 2025, we wish to appoint an inspirational and innovative Vice Principal for Culture, Behaviour and Attitudes to be part of our highly motivated Leadership Team at this thriving and popular Academy.

We are ambitious and driven, and the successful candidate will have values that clearly align with our OBA ethos – Opportunity, Belief and Aspiration. The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience and knowledge of best practice at Assistant Principal level. They will have energy, enthusiasm and a proven track record of raising achievement.

About us

Ormiston Bushfield Academy is a good school (OFSTED – December 2019), conveniently located close to the Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire & Lincolnshire borders, and benefits from excellent road and rail links.

The Academy is continuing to expand and due to its popularity and increasing student numbers, a new £6 million wing was opened in September 2018. This extension is an addition to the £20.6 million state-of-the-art building that was completed September 2012, giving every student the opportunity to learn in an exciting and inspiring environment at an Academy that has been recognised for its high standards of inclusion. The Academy has continued to build on the successes of the last few years and achieved strong results at GCSE & A-Level in the summer.

About you

The successful candidate must have excellent leadership and management skills, and the energy and drive to inspire and motivate others.

The focus of the Vice Principal will be Culture, Behaviour and Attitudes alongside other whole Academy responsibilities; please see the job description in the recruitment pack for further information. A background in behaviour and pastoral would be advantageous.

We are looking for a candidate who:

  • Is an ambitious and innovative teacher, dedicated to the success students, with a track record of raising attainment.
  • Has demonstrable leadership and management experience at Assistant Principal level.
  • Is an energetic and confident leader who is able to build strong relationships with students, parents and staff.
  • Has excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Is a strong team player.
  • Has exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
