About the Role

Emerald Clinical Trials is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Vice President of Clinical Affairs to lead and drive the strategic direction of our business development efforts globally. In this pivotal leadership role, you will support business development initiatives, establish and nurture a global network of specialist consultant physicians, and ensure the highest standards of medical practice across our clinical trials. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in clinical strategy, business development, and the ability to engage confidently on medical matters to influence decision-making and outcomes.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead and shape the clinical development strategy for Emerald Clinical Trials, ensuring that projects meet the highest standards of scientific, ethical, and regulatory compliance.
  • Partner with business development teams to identify new business opportunities and provide medical insights that strengthen relationships with existing and prospective clients.
  • Build and maintain a global network of specialist consultant physicians to enhance clinical trial designs, provide expert insights, and ensure optimal patient care in diverse therapeutic areas.
  • Act as the primary expert on medical standards of care, confidently representing Emerald Clinical Trials in discussions on clinical development and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead, mentor, and collaborate with the internal clinical team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement in clinical research practices.

About You

  • Medical degree with board certification (or equivalent)
  • Extensive experience in clinical research and leadership, preferably within a CRO or pharmaceutical company.
  • Proven success in business development, particularly in clinical trial settings, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and clients.
  • Global experience and understanding of diverse healthcare systems and clinical practices
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex clinical and medical information in a clear and impactful manner to both internal and external stakeholders.
