Engagement Manager/ Account Director (Cybersecurity Advisory)We’re hiring!Aon are currently recruiting an Engagement Manager / Account Director (VP) to join ourSecurity Advisory team in London/ Virtual.The Proactive Advisory team is a trusted adviser to the world’s most sophisticatedorganisations to help them protect their most important assets and continually improve theirapproach to cyber risk. Aon's recruitment and selection policy ensures thebest possible skill mix of colleagues and the highest quality candidates are appointed usingobjective job-related criteria.About the RoleThe Engagement Manager will be part of a cross-functional security risk team that gatherstechnical and procedural information, deploys necessary tools to identify vulnerabilities orcontrol weaknesses within IT infrastructure, analyses information derived from engagementsto determine information security risks and provides remediation assistance.The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following:• Building and leading a team of consultants to perform cyber security consultingengagements.• Assessing and investigating client IT security programs and environments viainterviews and technical information analyses.• Understanding existing client processes and controls and associated risks with respectto electronic and non-electronic information security.• Developing client security programs by reviewing existing programs; conductingcomprehensive reviews of threats; evaluating and analysing relevant data points.• Architect and design of security solutions (SIEM, IDS, etc.) for client environments.• Developing Information Security Plans and Policies, customized to clientrequirements and risk profile.• Developing incident response plans and procedures, and advise clients on steps toachieve incident response readiness (logging and monitoring configurations, triageand escalation procedures, wider stakeholder liaison, etc.)• Advising clients on the implications of GDPR and other data privacy matters from asecurity perspective.• Providing recommendations on IT solutions to help clients manage informationsecurity risk.• Assessing IT network and security architectures as they relate to managing identitiesand access privileges, delegated administration models, workflow and access controlmodels.• Documenting results of security risk analyses and formally present to clients.• Formulating executive level recommendations related to Information Securitystrategy.• Understanding current regulatory environment and related implications to securitymanagement compliance.• Enhancing team competence by answering technical and procedural questions for lessexperienced team members; teaching improved processes; mentoring team members.• Tracking emerging security practices and contribute to building internal processes.Responsibility for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk ManagementFramework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in themanagement of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affectthe business, interests or reputation of any Group Company.About youAs an Engagement Manager your skills and qualifications will ideally include:• Proven experience in progressively sophisticated roles in information securityconsulting coupled with demonstrable experience of security engineering and/ oroperations.• The position requires a strong, diverse technical background and truly exceptionaloral and written communications skills.• The candidate must demonstrate proven success in working in a team as well asindependently and exhibit follow-through to understand root causes of issues.• This position requires handling multiple engagements with overlapping deadlines.
