Lecturer in Psychology/Criminology - The Role:

We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Lecturer in Psychology/Criminology to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective teaching to undergraduate and possibly postgraduate students, contributing to the development of the curriculum, and participating in departmental activities and research.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outstanding teaching and assessment in the Psychology and Criminology sector.
  • Develop and prepare schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessment strategies to ensure students achieve their fullest potential.
  • Contribute to students' holistic development, addressing their academic and pastoral needs.
  • Collaborate with local employers and engage in community programs to enhance the curriculum and student experience.

Your success will be measured by key performance indicators such as retention rates, attendance, success rates, grades, and value added.


You:

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold a relevant degree in Psychology or Criminology or have equivalent professional experience in the field.
  • Have a proven track record of teaching BTEC, A Level, or HE Psychology or Criminology qualifications, or possess substantial mentoring/coaching experience.
  • A teaching qualification is desirable but not essential.
  • Demonstrate an enthusiastic and engaging teaching style that motivates students and supports their academic and personal growth.
