Veterinary Surgeon - Norfolk


• Excellent opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join an award-winning 1st opinion and referral hospital in Norfolk.

• RCVS accredited with excellent onsite facilities including CR digital X-ray & digital dental X-ray, colour flow doppler, Capnography & Ventilator and slit Lamp.

• Working alongside experienced Vets including certificate holders in cardiology, advanced imaging, ECC, soft tissue surgery, ophthalmology, small animal medicine, and exotics.

• No on call.

• Fantastic salary up to £65,000 DOE.

Our client is a well-established small animal 1st opinion and referral hospital, recognised for excellence with outstanding ratings in all six RCVS awards. This forward-thinking practice is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and equipment, offering the perfect environment for professional growth. They are committed to continuous education and development, with comprehensive training facilities and a well-appointed vets' office and library. As a gold standard Cat Friendly Clinic and silver standard Rabbit Friendly Clinic, this practice's dedication to both client and patient care is exemplary.


The practice handles a varied caseload and offers referral services in internal medicine, laparoscopy, radiology, soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery, ophthalmology, dermatology, and acupuncture. They are equipped to support oncology, surgical, diagnostic imaging, and medical services, providing numerous opportunities for progression in areas of personal interest.


You will be joining a dynamic team of 15 Veterinary Surgeons, including certificate holders in cardiology, advanced imaging, ECC, soft tissue surgery, ophthalmology, small animal medicine, and exotics. The team is supported by a dedicated group of 15 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 8 Student Veterinary Nurses, and 20 Support Staff. With several advanced practitioners on hand to provide mentorship and career support, you'll be in great company as you progress in your career.


The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a small animal practice. While certificates are welcomed and encouraged, they are not essential. What matters most is your enthusiasm for providing high-quality veterinary care and your commitment to client satisfaction.

The Rota:

• Full time role - 38 hours over 4 days a week.

• Typical day time shift involves a half day consulting and half day theatre.

• Includes a twilight shift (noon-10pm) and duty shift (6:30pm-9am).

• 1:4 weekends and no on call.

• Part time applications welcome.
