Contract Length: 3-Months

Requirements for the Veterinary Surgeon role:

• Veterinary Degree: Must possess a degree in veterinary medicine (BVSc, BVMS, or equivalent).
• RCVS Registration: Must be registered with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS).
• Clinical Experience: Previous experience in a clinical setting, particularly in surgery, is highly desirable.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in surgical techniques and the use of veterinary surgical instruments.
• Diagnostic Abilities: Strong skills in diagnosing conditions and determining appropriate treatments.
• Animal Welfare: Commitment to the highest standards of animal care and welfare.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with pet owners and colleagues.
• Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a veterinary team, including nurses and support staff.
• Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick, informed decisions under pressure.
• CPD Commitment: Commitment to continuing professional development (CPD) and staying updated with the latest advancements in veterinary medicine and surgery.
• Physical Stamina: Good physical health and stamina, as the role can be physically demanding.
• Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail, ensuring precision in surgical procedures.
• Empathy: Compassion and empathy towards animals and their owners.
