Veterinary Nurse

Pickles
London
GBP 60,000 - 80,000
Job description

The role:

We’re on the lookout for an ambitious, driven and caring veterinary nurse with great leadership skills to help us develop our first Pickles practice into nothing short of the world’s best first opinion veterinary practice. You will always go the extra mile, drive change and make a difference.

This is a permanent role in our clinical team with no out of hours requirements.

Your new clinic:

Our first location in Fulham in South West London has been built from the ground up; designed around our colleagues, clients and pets because we believe in creating space for the things that matter.

The brand new facilities include digital x-ray, in house laboratory, ultrasound, dental suite with radiography, a large operating theatre, separate dog and cat wards and dedicated welfare space for you and the team.

About us:

We are creating the future of pet health care and an unrivalled pet owner experience from brand new purpose built practices situated across London. To do this we’re putting people back at the heart of practice; creating a space where our vets and nurses have the time to care, develop themselves and others and are empowered to go the extra mile to deliver to their potential.

We want our teams to relish coming to work again. To re-ignite the compassion for the profession we all know and love. Our patients will look forward to coming to see us in the clinic and pet owners will receive an exemplary customer experience.

You will be leading and developing a caring Pickles team who are striving to be the best they can be. We embrace our inevitable failures and mistakes, looking to learn and develop together in a supportive environment.

Your experience:

As a veterinary nurse at Pickles we expect you to bring a wealth of experience, with a commitment to delivering high levels of clinical care and an exemplary pet owner experience. You will be confident in all aspects of general first opinion work as well as supporting and developing the skills of your team. You will enjoy and be comfortable with balancing the operational management of a modern veterinary practice, team management and commercial performance.

For colleagues who want to develop management experience there will be significant opportunities as we grow and develop as a team.

Who are we looking for:

We are looking for a veterinary nurse who doesn’t just align with our beliefs and values, but wants to lead by example and instil this ethos in their clinical team.

Deliver a consistently simple, reassuring service:

We love bells and whistles (what dog and cat doesn’t), but despite our proprietary tech and next generation practices it's all about providing what owners want; simple, reliable, reassuring service and a relationship with someone who can care.

Care delivered with caring:

We’re pet people at heart and love what we do. Too often passion has been stripped for profit but we think that’s a downward spiral. We’re driven to deliver the very best care because we care, from the smallest kitten to the biggest Great Dane.

People at the heart of practice:

Our technology is designed for the service of people, enabling clinicians to provide excellent person to person care. People are the heart of practice and the heart of pickles. We ask a lot but give as much in return. We’re development focussed and involve everyone in our success.

Dogs, cats but no bull:

What we want to do isn’t easy, but it can be simple and we want to keep it that way. We believe in transparency and honesty in dealing with each other and our customers. When something can be better we want everyone to call it out - no bull.
