Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and passionate Veterinary Care Assistant to join our award-winning, family-owned Newton Abbot practice.


You will assist all colleagues with non-clinical duties to support smooth running of the practice and provide the best standard of patient care.


Duties will include:

  1. Cleaning theatre, instruments, kennels - the clinical areas of the practice
  2. Answering phone calls
  3. Holding patients for the clinical team
  4. Packaging lab samples

Working closely with our registered veterinary Nurses. Full training will be provided.


Our practice is bright, spacious, air-conditioned and purpose built to industry leading standards and has state of the art equipment including digital X-ray and in-house laboratory facilities.


This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to progress into a student nurse role in the future.


This is a Part Time role working every Saturday 9am -6pm. Holiday cover for weekdays will be available.
