Hotel General Manager

About The Role: Hotel General Manager

If you have prior experience of delivering an exceptional wedding experience within a luxury hotel venue, this could be your next career step.

Reporting to the Group Director of Operations, the General Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of this standalone Wedding Venue. They will lead and coach the Team to deliver the highest standards of service, aiming to go ‘above and beyond’ the expectations of our Wedding Guests, with an eye for detail, delivering memorable moments, every time.

Responsibilities:

  1. Strong F&B and Wedding operational background: Delivering a high volume of wedding events, tailoring every occasion, and delivering those personal touches.
  2. Partnering our Central Wedding Sales Team: In the seamless event execution from enquiry through to Wedding delivery.
  3. Delivering Showrounds & Menu Tasting: Working with the Head Chef and Central Wedding Sales Team to provide a flavour of what our Wedding Guests will experience on the day of their wedding.
  4. Food & Beverage: You will have the ability to define standards and deliver consistency across F&B areas, including volume banqueting, within a 4/5-star environment.
  5. Team Management: Strong hands-on leadership qualities, fostering a clear Team goal that every Wedding is an individual, tailored occasion, where we aim to go above and beyond our wedding guest’s expectations. This is not an office-based GM role; the successful candidate will have an eye for detail and adopt a ‘Mine-Host’ approach to managing this stunning Wedding Venue.
  6. Control payroll costs: Deliver a commercial understanding of payroll management, allowing for seasonality, but not at the detriment of quality or service delivery.

Qualifications:

  1. A strong Leader and Team player, with an engaging personality, driving daily communication, with proven experience in a senior management role within a luxury Hotel or Wedding Venue.
  2. Strong financial acumen with prior cost and payroll management experience.
  3. Exceptional hands-on leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  4. Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
  5. Keen attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of presentation and functionality.
