The Vehicle Technician / Mechanic Opportunity:

As a Vehicle Technician, you’ll be confident in communicating with different people, asking for help, and following procedures whilst always learning new skills and techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Carrying out vehicle services and repairs, in accordance with Lexus technical standards, ensuring we deliver a great customer experience.
2. Examining vehicles, diagnosing non-routine defects, with knowledge gained about the vehicles and relevant technologies.
3. Reporting defects against Department of Environment (MOT) and Vehicle Safety Report (VSR) standards.
4. Carrying out jobs within budgeted time, maintaining your own productivity.
5. Taking responsibility for daily maintenance of tools and equipment, reporting any defects.
6. Working in accordance with key Lexus or Centre processes.
7. Liaising with customers directly where relevant and appropriate, listening carefully to build rapport and answering questions in a warm and professional manner.
8. Coaching and supporting apprentice technicians, explaining, guiding and enabling others to learn.

About you:

1. Hold an MOT Licence (essential).
2. Qualified Level 2/3 Vehicle Technician or Diagnostic Technician.
3. Previous work experience within an automotive repair environment is necessary.
4. Must hold a Full UK Drivers Licence.
5. Technical aptitude, process-driven, and a fast learner.
6. Organised in the workplace.
7. Confident communicator and ready to ask questions and learn.
8. Passionate about problem-solving and finding solutions to challenges.
9. MOT Licence is preferred but not essential.
