Job description

Vehicle Technician

Location: Tilbury, Essex

Shift Pattern: Monday-Friday, 08:00-16:30

Pay Rate: £14.03 p/h PAYE, £16.27 p/h Umbrella

Employment Type: Long-term, Ongoing work

Igloo is on the lookout for Vehicle Technicians to join our client's team in Tilbury. Our client is a global leader in the automotive industry, with operations across the globe.

The Role:

  1. Inspecting vehicles & diagnosing any required work.
  2. Repairing or replacing components as required such as clutch changes & repairs, cambelt changes, brake system replacement & repairs, and gearbox repairs & replacements.
  3. Road testing vehicles to test repair work.
  4. Fitting & servicing vehicle accessories, including alarms & stereos.
  5. Warranty recall work.
  6. Undertaking Services & maintenance checks, such as oil changes & filter changes.

The Person:

  1. Must hold a recognised NVQ Level 3 qualification, such as light vehicle maintenance & repair.
  2. Must be able to demonstrate previous experience of working within a Vehicle Technician or PDI Technician role.
  3. Must be punctual, reliable, hardworking, and be prepared to work as part of a team or under own esteem.
