Job description

Vehicle Technician

Up to £46,000 Basic £60,000 OTE

Monday to Friday

Horsham Area

My client is a leading independent organization in the area, with multiple sites under a larger Group Business. They specialize in both service and sales of low-mileage, nearly new vehicles. To meet growing demand, my client is expanding their workshop team. They are seeking a highly motivated individual with strong personal standards to join their main workshop, responsible for maintaining and repairing various vehicle marques as they pass through the preparation centre for sale.

Responsibilities:
  1. Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults on a variety of vehicles.
  2. Perform routine servicing and maintenance tasks to manufacturer specifications.
  3. Carry out vehicle inspections and identify potential issues.
  4. Use the latest diagnostic tools and equipment to ensure repairs are completed efficiently and effectively.
  5. Keep accurate records of all work completed and parts used.
  6. Assist colleagues with complex repairs and fault diagnosis when necessary.
  7. Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety regulations.
  8. Provide excellent customer service, explaining repairs and work completed to clients.
Requirements:
  1. Minimum 6 yrs qualified experience required for this position, preferably with both Dealership and Independent experience during that time, with a variance across multiple Marques being a real plus point.
  2. NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Repair and Maintenance.
  3. A good understanding of Vehicle Diagnostic protocols and how to apply them daily would be a real plus - but can be developed via training if required.
  4. Ability to work alone and as part of a team.
  5. Full UK Driving Licence required.
  6. Excellent Attention to detail and high standards of workmanship.
  7. Knowledge of modern vehicle systems and diagnostic tools.
  8. A proactive and enthusiastic approach to work.
Benefits:
  1. Great hours working Monday to Friday 08:00 till 17:00, with NO weekend work!
  2. Fantastic Pay Opportunity, £50,000 - £60,000 per year OTE.
  3. 30 days holiday (including bank holidays) which rises on time served.
