About The Role

We are looking for a vehicle prepper, with a passion for the automotive industry that puts quality at the beginning of every process. Your keen eye and technical knowledge will ensure that vehicles within the cosmetic teams are accurately repaired to Motability standards. Proficient in using the latest methods, we are looking for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic environment, collaborating with your team to achieve goals.

Reporting into the cosmetic team leads, the principal objective of this role is to ensure that vehicles are prepared for primer and paint in accordance with the required reconditioning standards.

Our vehicle preppers play a crucial role in the workshop, ensuring that vehicles are prepared for both primer and paint, using the relevant methods in accordance with the Motability standards.

Using your technical skills and knowledge and working with state-of-the-art equipment and products, the key areas are to repair, prime and prepare panels ready for paint.

About You

Minimum criteria:
  • Able to legally drive a manual vehicle in the UK
  • Panel preparation experience
  • Masking and sheeting experience
  • Primer experience
  • Accident repair experience

We lease a wide range of tailored mobility solutions to people who receive one of the Government’s qualifying mobility allowances. Our customers choose a car, Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle (WAV), scooter or powered wheelchair that best suits their needs. We take care of their insurance, breakdown, servicing and more, as part of our worry-free package.

At the end of the lease, our customers can exchange their vehicle for a brand-new model. Each year we sell and move around 200,000 cars. This makes us the largest supplier of single-source vehicles back into the used car market.

The Scheme has been providing affordable, worry-free motoring for over 45 years. We pride ourselves on delivering outstanding customer service, with an independent customer satisfaction rating of 9.6 out of 10.
