Job description

Proactive Personnel Ltd are currently recruiting for experienced LGV Technicians / Mechanics for our client based in Nottingham.

Responsibilities:
  1. To maintain, inspect, repair and test Class 4, 5 (light) and 7 vehicles for both internal and external customers.
  2. Carry out fault diagnosis on complex hydraulic and electrical systems.
  3. Use diagnostics equipment and Autodata to quickly diagnose and fix faults.
  4. To attend broken down or accident damaged vehicles and effect permanent or running repairs as required.
  5. To carry out class 4 and 7 MOT inspections.
  6. To ensure that all Health and Safety policies, practices and procedures in respect of the workshop environment are adhered to and ensure that all work areas are kept in a safe and clean condition.
  7. To attend training courses.
Minimum Requirements:

A qualification in City & Guilds level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Principles, or equivalent is essential for this role.

Working Hours:
  1. 07:00 – 15:00 Monday – Thursday, 14:30 Friday.
  2. 09:00 – 17:00 Monday – Thursday, 16:30 Friday.

Overtime is available and is paid at Time and one half after the first 5 hours.

Salary:

Starting Salary is £36,000 – £38,000. 37 hours per week £80.00 per month tooling allowance.
