Job description

Vehicle Inspector (PDI)

Location: Long Bennington, Lincolnshire

Pay Rate: £13 p/h

Shift: Monday-Friday, 08:00-17:00

Contract: Temp to Perm (12 weeks)

We are looking for Vehicle Inspectors to join a leading automotive company in Long Bennington. This role involves carrying out pre-delivery inspections (PDI) to ensure vehicles meet manufacturer standards before handover to customers or delivery drivers.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct pre-delivery inspections following manufacturer guidelines.
  2. Use a handheld device to complete inspection checklists.
  3. Check oil, coolant, tyre pressure, wheel nuts, and general vehicle condition.
  4. Inspect the exterior, interior, and underside of vehicles.
  5. Fit number plates and ensure all final checks are completed.
  6. Maintain a high standard of accuracy to ensure vehicles are fully prepared for delivery.

Requirements:
  1. Previous experience working with vehicles is preferred.
  2. Full UK driving licence.
  3. Comfortable using basic tools (airlines, drills, torque wrench).
  4. Basic computer skills and ability to learn new systems.
  5. Must wear clean, dark clothing (no exposed zips/buckles) and safety shoes.
