Job description

Job Title: Vehicle Builder
Location: Ballymena, County Antrim
Duration: Temporary to Permanent
Pay Rates: 14.86 per hour (PAYE)

We are currently recruiting for a number of Vehicle Builders for a well-established engineering company based in Ballymena, County Antrim.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Assembling a variety of materials such as metal, wood, laminate and fibreglass components to the vehicles using nuts, bolts and rivets as part of the production process.
  2. Responsible for the safe operation of plant equipment and hand tools.
  3. Assembling the product in line with assembly drawings.
  4. Participation in continuous improvement teams and initiatives.
  5. Responsible for complying with the H&S, policies and procedures.
  6. Ensuring that work carried out is up to the set company standard and that all quality sign-offs and procedures are complied with.
  7. Moving between several operations whilst maintaining high-quality workmanship and efficiency.
  8. Must be prepared to work overtime when requested by management.
  9. Undertaking training or retraining associated with the post or introduction of new working practices or engineering changes including the training of others.

Requirements:
  1. Must have previous experience vehicle building, interior re-fitting or mechanical assembly.

Working Hours:
Monday to Thursday - 06:30 to 16:30 or 07:00 to 17:00 (38-hour week)
Overtime available.
