Vehicle Build Technician

Are you passionate about classic cars and cutting-edge vehicle technology? Our client is looking for a skilled and dedicated Build Technician to join their growing team based in Northampton.

The Role:

As a Build Technician, you will play a key role in the conversion and restoration of high-end cars, helping to create bespoke, state-of-the-art vehicles. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Vehicle Disassembly & Assembly: Carefully dismantling classic vehicles, preserving original components, and reassembling them to exacting standards.
  2. Powertrain Integration: Installing and configuring motors, battery systems, and associated components.
  3. Chassis & Body Modifications: Modifying vehicle structures where necessary while maintaining the integrity and aesthetics of the original design.
  4. Diagnostics & Testing: Conducting thorough inspections and troubleshooting any mechanical or electrical issues.
  5. Collaboration: Working closely with engineers, designers, and fellow technicians to refine processes and ensure the highest quality workmanship.
  6. Adherence to Safety Standards: Ensuring all work complies with safety regulations and internal quality control measures.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  1. Proven experience in automotive restoration, vehicle conversion, or a similar hands-on automotive role.
  2. Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, fabrication, and mechanical components.
