Job description

Are you an experienced VAT Manager with broad industry experience?

Reed Finance are partnered with a globally renowned organisation to recruit a new VAT Manager into their Tax function. This assignment will last a minimum of three months with the potential to go perm for the right individual. Based in central Oxford, this repeat client is offering the opportunity to be part of a historical and prestigious business with a friendly and supportive team.

Reporting to the Head of Tax you will:

  • Provide strategic VAT advice to the business on transactions and projects.
  • Identify and implement VAT planning opportunities to minimise liabilities.
  • Monitor and manage VAT compliance, identifying and mitigating risks.
  • Reconcile VAT accounts and ensure proper documentation.
  • Stay updated on changes in VAT legislation and advise on their impact.
  • Manage VAT implications of global revenue and ensure compliance with international VAT regulations.
  • Manage VAT-related risks and ensure compliance with supply chain and tariffs.
  • Act as an advisory to colleagues on VAT-related issues.
  • Collaborate on solving technical strategy, return revenue, and improving processes.

You will be partnering with division Finance Directors and their teams, Supply Chain, FinOps, Systems, and Commercial teams, so you will be an effective communicator at all levels. You will enjoy mentoring others and have natural leadership capabilities, and will value a collaborative and energetic working environment.

This role offers hybrid working (2 days in the office).

Day rate is £#removed# per day doe - please note: this role sits inside IR35. Open to fully qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) candidates only.
