Job Summary
The post holder will be providing support to a range of functional areas over the two locations. The posts are administrative/corporate support in nature and will require the job holder to conduct a range of duties: including management of visits; maintenance of records, both physical and electronic; support to projects; support to training delivery and ensuring compliance with relevant policy.
This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.
Job Description
These posts are all within the admin/corporate support functionality, providing support to the business unit, are deemed as priority fills within the respective business areas. The 7 posts are similar in responsibilities, skillsets and as detailed above will require the successful job holder to be competent in a variety of duties ranging from management of visits, booking of conference facilities to service meetings, note taking, managing corporate records to support decision making and the management of physical and electronic resources. Each function will have a set of specific policy documents and will offer opportunities for training and development.
Person specification
Any successful candidate will be required to possess the following knowledge, skills and experience:
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Good organisational skills
- Good IT skills, including word-processing and spreadsheets
Some of the roles will have Line Management responsibility.

Working ArrangementsWhere business needs allow, some roles may be suitable for a combination of office and home-based working. This is a non-contractual arrangement where all office-based employees will be expected to spend a minimum of 60% of their working time in office, subject to capacity and any required workplace adjustments. Requirements to attend other locations for official business, or work in another MOD office, will also count towards this level of attendance.
