Director

Role Purpose

The Director role will provide valuation and advisory advice to clients, with a focus on executing business development and client care. The role will deliver higher complexity valuations and reporting and supervise, review and quality check the valuation work and processes completed by other members of the Valuation team.

This role is an opportunity to join CBRE's Operational Living Team, a market leader in Living Sector Valuations, where we value over £60bn of assets annually across Build to Rent (BTR), Single Family Housing (SFH), Purpose Built Student Accommodation (PBSA), and Co-Living spaces. With key clients like Grainger, Lloyds Living (Citra), and IQ, we provide unparalleled expertise and market-leading advice for over 90,000 units. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct valuation and advisory work for loan security, financial reporting, fund reporting, strategic advice and investment purposes.
  • Taking the lead on valuations across a broad range of asset types in the UK, including development sites, investment portfolios and single assets.
  • Responsible for business development activities and maintaining existing client relationships.
  • Support with business expansion in key strategic growth areas and sectors.
  • Lead and/or support with RFPs and pitch activities.
  • Close liaison with clients ensuring high quality advice is consistently delivered.
  • Collaborate with other members of the Hyderabad and London Valuation team.
  • Active role in strategic team management and growth. Day to day team and line management duties, such as performance review, coaching and development.
  • QRM compliance oversight, sign off conflict checks and manage Client IQ opportunity records up to execution.
  • Conduct physical property inspections and supervise and review output of inspections conducted by junior members of the team.
  • Valuation modelling (including DCF modelling), calculation and sensitivity analysis of higher complexity work.
  • Complete 'activate' set up in TOPS2.
  • Hold team accountable for maintaining Client IQ data to ensure WIP dashboard is up to date.
  • Enhancement to fulfil and deliver Client Reporting Requirements -sign off on client portals and data controllership requirements.
  • Review valuation work drafted by other members of the Valuation team to ensure quality and consistency and sign off for job completion.
  • Work with the Service Delivery team to ensure that execution is prioritised and completed.
  • Help with more complex revenue recognition tasks.
  • Integrate and collaborate with the wider CBRE network and other business lines. Support with other value add tasks and internal initiatives for innovation and improvement.
  • Work flexibly across services within the Division and support other Sectors and Divisions as and when required.

Person Specification/Requirements:

  • MRICS qualified or equivalent, with a minimum of 6 years post qualified experience
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Real Estate, Surveying, or a related field.
  • Proven experience of managing client accounts
  • Experience using valuation software and tools, such as Argus Enterprise & Developer and Excel
  • Strong understanding of property market trends and factors influencing property values, and the ability to use that intel in business development discussions.
  • Strong knowledge of regulations and standards in property valuation.
  • Proven management experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling the development of good relationships with both clients and colleagues.
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, delegate where appropriate and meet deadlines.
  • Enjoys working under pressure in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Valid UK driving licence - if applicable
