Please see below a vacancy that we have been asked to publish and promote on behalf of North London Cricket Club...
ABOUT NORTH LONDON CC
North London CC was founded in 1877 and is one of the largest amateur cricket clubs in Middlesex. We are an ambitious club with over 225 junior playing members and more than 100 senior cricketers.
Our beautiful home grounds are located in Crouch End, London N8, and are ideally situated as the closest cricket grounds to the City of London when heading northerly. Access is easily available via the Northern Line. We have recently made significant investments in our grounds and facilities, with the addition of a modern 4-lane outdoor net facility. Further improvements are planned.
Our senior men’s first team is an established Division 1 Middlesex County Cricket League team that has challenged for promotion to the ECB Middlesex Premier League in each of the past three seasons. All of our other four senior men’s teams compete at a similar level for their grade. Our aim is to achieve promotion to the MCCL Premier League and for that level of cricket to be sustainable for the long term through the organic development of homegrown cricketers.
Our Senior Women have two teams competing in league cricket, and this season, we started a women’s 3rd XI team that plays midweek cricket.
We have both boys and girls playing junior representative cricket at regional, county, and national level. The continued development of our junior cricketers to pathway cricket is considered to be fundamentally important to this role, as is the development of current and future NLCC senior cricketers.
NORTH LONDON CC AIMS AND AMBITIONS
Our aim is to establish NLCC as a MCCL Premier League club and have our women play league cricket at the highest possible level. We aim to achieve this organically through the development of our young cricketers while attracting female and male cricketers of all ages to play for our socially vibrant and ambitious club. We see this as a sustainable model for the long-term of our club and its members.
In recent years, we have worked with ambitious coaches who assisted in establishing the NLCC Junior Academy. We now have junior boys and girls from ages 10 to 17 playing representative cricket for Middlesex, Surrey, London Schools, and England. The new Director of Coaching will expand our academy to produce more cricketers for our women’s and men’s senior teams and representative teams.
