Vacancy for Open Research Manager (Research Data, Repository and Theses) at University of St Andrews

We are looking for a proactive, well-motivated, and highly skilled individual with expert knowledge of open research practices to join our Open Research team in Libraries & Museums at the University of St Andrews. This role will focus on research data management and doctoral theses, and our ideal candidate will have experience of repositories and at least one of these areas of specialism.

The purpose of this role is to focus on advocacy and outreach for Research Data Management and Theses, managing operational elements of the infrastructure, staff, and services which support the University’s culture of Open Research.

This is an exciting time to join Libraries & Museums as we further develop our open research culture which values FAIR research data management and open access to doctoral theses. We are looking for someone to share our commitment to making our research findings widely available for local, national, and global benefit. You will liaise with researchers and senior staff in academic Schools to improve and embed excellent research data management practices and will be able to take initiative to further develop our research data management and theses services.

We are looking for someone with expert knowledge of the open research environment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to solve problems taking an evidence-based approach.
