Vacancy: Climate Outreach & Information Network (COIN)
Would you like the opportunity to work for the UK’s first coalition on climate change and migration issues?
The Climate Outreach and Information Network (COIN) is a charity committed to enabling people to move from awareness to action on climate change. Dedicated to raising awareness about the human rights impacts of climate change, COIN runs a programme of work on migration and climate change. In March 2011, COIN launched the UK Climate Migration Coalition, a young alliance of NGOs united by concern about the lack of any long-term strategies to support, assist, and protect people at risk of displacement linked to climate change.
This post holder will support COIN’s Defending Rights Project Manager and involve varied work from research and campaign planning to event management and web support. The post is part-time – 3 days per week, for a period of 12 months.
This position will suit a committed graduate with first-rate research and writing skills and a proven interest in the issues. The successful candidate will be based in London but will also attend meetings in Oxford and across the UK/Europe as required.
