Job description

ARNE is an apparel and footwear brand/retailer based in Birchwood Park near Warrington, UK. We design and develop our products in the UK, manufacture in the near & far east and then ship directly to our customers, via ARNEclo.com. We have recently branched out and are now also available via Selfridges both in store and online.

We have ambitious objectives over the next decade with the team believing all targets are achievable through new product category launches in shoes and womenswear alongside the creation of paid media, CRM activity and further international growth to amplify the great product / brand assets we have already created.

We have come a long way from Mum's bungalow where it started in 2018, to our all-new fully bespoke HQ. This office will be our home for the next 5-10 years at least and although it's not quite our style to shout too loudly, the place where we aim to take the brand GLOBAL and become a truly iconic UK brand.

Reporting to our Head Of Ecommerce, you'll help us to achieve our Ecommerce mission of creating a seamless shopping experience across websites and mobile apps that blends optimal functionality with our minimalist brand aesthetics. As a UX/UI designer you will be responsible for designing user friendly, visually appealing experiences with a mobile first approach and a conversion driven focus.

Responsibilities

  • Design wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity UI designs for web and mobile platforms
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams including developers, product owners, data teams, marketing and the wider ecommerce teams to deliver optimised customer journeys driven by key KPIs including conversion, bounce, exit, frustration and site speed
  • Optimise website and mobile app for usability, accessibility and conversion rate improvements
  • Work with the Ecommerce Data Analyst to understand full end to end customer behaviour and needs to create a roadmap of improvements alongside business needs, including end to end journey coverage on PDP, PLP, Homepage, Search, Navigation, Checkout and Information pages
  • Own the user research, collaborating with our Ecommerce Manager on AB Testing and usability testing across all channels with a continuous drive to improve the overall shopping experience
  • Obsession on improvement of site entry and first impression and experience to a new site visitor, continuously reviewing ways to convert
  • Key focus on understanding and the user experience internationally vs UK, optimising international shopping experience to align with behaviour
  • Work with developers and product owners on the accurate implementation of designs and site improvements to maintain consistency and quality checking across each channel
  • Create and maintain a design system and processes ensuring consistency in branding and UI elements
  • Stay updated with the latest UX/UI trends, eCommerce best practices, and emerging technologies
Essential Experience And Skills

  • Experience with online clothing websites / mobile apps
  • A background of proven UX/UI design work including wireframes, prototypes, final designs and ability to demonstrate proven conversion impact
  • Shopify Experience
  • Proficient in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD or similar
  • Strong data driven approach
  • User journey obsessed
  • Knowledge of front end coding is a plus, including HTML, CSS, Javascript, Shopify Liquid
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to present design concepts with detailed rationale and results to key stakeholders
  • Curious and problem solving mindset
  • Comfortable with feedback and change requests
  • Organised with ability to prioritise and work at a fast pace
