About the Role:

Paxton Personnel is recruiting on behalf of a well-established surveying company based in the North of Scotland, with projects spanning the entire country. We are seeking an experienced Utilities Surveyor to join their team, conducting essential underground utility surveys across various sites. This role offers flexibility on location, provided the candidate is willing to travel as required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform underground utility surveys using Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) and Electromagnetic Location (EML) techniques.
• Interpret utility records, site plans, and survey data to produce detailed reports and CAD drawings.
• Utilize GPS, Total Stations, and GIS software for accurate mapping of detected utilities.
• Ensure compliance with PAS 128 survey standards and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure high-quality, accurate survey data.
• Maintain and calibrate survey equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and industry standards.
• Effectively communicate findings with clients, contractors, and internal teams.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Utilities Surveyor or in a similar role within construction, infrastructure, or surveying.
• Strong knowledge of GPR, EML, GPS, and Total Station surveying techniques.
• Experience working to PAS 128 survey standards.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, maps, and as-built records.
• Full UK driving license (essential).
• CSCS card (desirable).
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel across Scotland as required.
