Job Title: UX Research Lead

Location: Welwyn Garden City Contract Type: Permanent Working Pattern: Full Time

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead high-priority UX research initiatives, focusing on foundational research for our in-store colleagues to enhance their work experience.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to capture needs while championing the voice of the customer.
• Facilitate briefing and visionary workshops with senior stakeholders to align on strategic research directions.
• Ensure quality and timelines in research execution, mentoring colleagues throughout the process.
• Manage agency relationships for key projects while building internal capabilities for a customer-centric culture.
• Partner with Product and UX Design teams to integrate research insights into product strategy and design processes.
• Develop relationships across the organisation to gather existing data and inform product opportunities.
• Advocate for UX Research by promoting its importance in stakeholder meetings and broader organisational discussions.
• Support the Head of UX Design & Research in identifying and prioritising research needs, fostering best practises.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven track record in leading research initiatives, especially in complex physical environments like retail stores.
• Background in research, psychology, behavioural science, anthropology, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of research methodologies and UX frameworks.
• Demonstrated success in using research results to impact product strategy and development.
• Excellent project management and team leadership skills.
• Ability to mentor and inspire a team to embrace UX research practises.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with a knack for building relationships and advocating for the customer.
