SEND Class Teacher required in Lambeth

Are you looking for a new role working as an SEN Class Teacher?
Do you have experience as a Special Education Needs and Disabilities Teacher?
Are you an ECT who is passionate about starting a career with students with SEND?

Details of School and Role:

The curriculum at this School is based on child-centred individualised learning for all our children and young people. Children begin their learning through the Early Years Foundation stage in Reception, though curriculum delivery continues to be based on experience, engagement and child-centred play that reflects the Early Years Foundation Stage framework. The curriculum focuses on developing communication, independence, physical development, well-being and living in the wider world through the six areas of learning:

  1. Communication, language and literacy
  2. Mathematical development
  3. Personal, social and emotional development
  4. Physical development

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised overseas teaching certificate
  • Experience working with students with SEND within a mainstream or Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) setting is desirable, however ECTs are welcomed to apply.
  • Strong understanding of the Early Years Framework
  • Proven good behaviour management strategies, including experience of managing challenging learners.
  • An understanding, patient, and caring approach
  • Flexible and hard-working nature
