Role Summary

The main objective of this role is to support the store management team in achieving a store environment that fosters creativity, employee development, and the VIBE philosophy. To uphold the Urban Outfitters "Peers Training Peers" philosophy.

What You'll Be Doing

People:

1. Uphold the Company's mystery shop standards and ensure that customer service takes priority over projects.
2. Contribute to the overall VIBE in the store by being positive, respectful, and helpful to others.
3. Adapt to the store's needs by assisting with customer service, loss prevention, store cleaning tasks, and store projects.

Teamwork & Communication:

1. Model the way by inspiring, motivating, and encouraging teamwork.
2. Assist management by training and coaching on receiving and inventory control measures.
3. Effectively communicate and build partnerships with the store team, inventory control, and the distribution centre.
4. Actively participate in daily meetings.

Operations:

1. Successfully lead the team in the shipment receipt process and complete shipment turnaround promptly.
2. Take ownership of receiving to ensure that operational tasks are completed and keep receiving and back stock areas neat, clean, and organised.
3. Complete receiving paperwork accurately and according to deadlines.
4. Set the example by adhering to Company policies and procedures.
5. Exhibit strong loss prevention awareness and help ensure compliance with all inventory control measures.
6. Always adhere to company health & safety regulations.

Merchandising & Display:

1. Work in partnership with the Visual Merchandising Manager and management team to coordinate and facilitate shipment placement and maintain standards throughout the store.
2. Exhibit familiarity with bestsellers product and prioritise the replenishment of top selling items.
3. Support sales by assisting in merchandising and display projects as needed.

What You'll Need:

1. Previous leadership experience in a retail environment.
2. Ability to maneuver around the sales floor and stockroom, including repetitive bending, prolonged standing, twisting, stooping, squatting, and climbing.
3. Open availability to work nights and weekends, including opening and closing shifts to meet the needs of the business.
4. Strong leadership and communication skills.
