Job description

UPS Engineer / Service Engineer / Electrical Service Engineer required to join a global electrical engineering manufacturer.


The successful UPS Engineer / Service Engineer / Electrical Service Engineer shall carry out preventative maintenance, servicing, fault finding & commissioning on uninterruptible power supplies / UPS Systems and critical power equipment at customer sites & data centres across the South of the UK.


The UPS Engineer / Service Engineer / Electrical Service Engineer will ideally have an understanding of technical electrical and / or electronic engineering products such as power controls, electrical distribution, power electronics, capacitors, rectifier, three phase voltage, generators, UPS systems, critical power supplies, battery systems, AC / DC systems or similar.

UPS Engineer / Service Engineer / Electrical Service Engineer Role

  • Carry out preventative maintenance, servicing, fault finding, and commissioning to uninterruptible power supplies / UPS Systems, battery systems, power electronics and critical power equipment.
  • Installation, repair and service of uninterruptible power systems, in a wide variety of commercial and industrial sites and data centres across the UK.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance on the existing uninterruptible power supplies / UPS install base.
  • Set up and configure remote monitoring on software.
  • Communicate with key stakeholders on a technical level.
  • Liaise with various engineering departments.

UPS Engineer / Service Engineer / Electrical Service Engineer Requirements

  • Experience as a Service Engineer, Electrical Engineer, UPS Engineer, Generator Engineer, Field Service Engineer, Service Technician, Commissioning or similar within electrical or electronic engineering.
  • Technical understanding of electrical and / or electronic engineering products such as power controls, electrical distribution, power electronics, capacitors, rectifier, three phase voltage, generators, UPS systems, critical power supplies, battery systems, AC / DC systems or similar.
  • Flexible for Overtime & part of the on-call rota.
  • Willingness to learn and progress with a reputable electrical manufacturer.
  • Electrical Engineers with 18th Edition Wiring Regulations, ECS/CSCS Card and / or a technical electrical or electronic engineering qualification, HNC, HND or similar would also be considered. Full product training provided.
  • Full UK driving license willing to cover regions across the UK depending on your location.
