An "Outstanding" Secondary School in the South Central London Borough of Bexley are on the hunt for an Unqualified Science Teacher for an ASAP start. This is a full-time and long-term position for the full academic year, with the option to progress onto SALARIED teacher training, or the ability to claim a tax-free bursary up to £29,000!

What will the role of an Unqualified Science Teacher involve?

• Providing high quality cover lessons across the Science Department - Year 7 to Year 10
• Working predominantly within your subject specialism, i.e Physics, Chemistry or Biology
• Teaching pre-planned material & lessons with minimal need to adapt
• Working as part of a large team of Science Teachers, including highly experienced teachers and younger, newer teachers to the profession
• Raising attainment & the quality of learning
• Inspiring & motivating young minds
• Managing behavior effectively
• ASAP Start - Full Time - Term Time Only
• £140 per day/£700 per week before tax

The Head Teacher would ideally like a graduate with any of the following Science related degrees:

• Biology (Science)
• Chemistry (Science)
• Geology (Science)
• Physics (Science)
• Natural Sciences (Science)
• Mathematics & Physics (Science)
• Environmental Science (Science)
• Geography & Environmental Science (Science)
• Health Science (Science)
• Healthcare & Fitness (Science)
• Any STEM related degree (Science)

PERSON SPECIFICATION

• Strong understanding of the Science curriculum required
• Previous tutoring or group teaching experience beneficial
• Confident speaker
• Science Graduate with a 2:1 or 1st class degree
• Strong A Levels and GCSEs
• Able to commit full time, for the remainder of the academic year
