We are currently recruiting for an Underwriting Service Leader to join our established and experienced Underwriting team here at RSA on a hybrid basis.

Your Role

The purpose of your role is to provide support to the Regional Manager with the service delivery, operational performance, capability, and governance for a team of underwriters to deliver the P&L results. You will lead a team of Underwriters tasked with underwriting profitable new and renewal business in line with the portfolio strategy and performance targets and take responsibility for ensuring the team adheres to internal and external compliance standards.

You will be involved in developing and implementing operational plans, business development activities, monitoring and reporting business performance, managing stakeholder relationships, and guiding and developing the team. You will support the RM to develop the business plans using various tools to enhance the performance of the P&L to deliver great service to the market.

You will focus on developing the capability of the team, monitoring performance to deliver excellent service by managing resource requirements, and providing coaching and mentoring to your direct reports.
