Job title: Underwriter – Property Binders

Location: London

OVERVIEW

We’re assisting a well-established insurance firm in recruiting a professional for a vital role within their property division. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a significant line of business within the London market and be part of a dynamic and established lead market operating across multiple territories.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assess, price, and negotiate risks submitted through the box or electronic trading platforms.
  • Build and sustain relationships with brokers, producers, and clients.
  • Promote the business brand and product offerings through marketing and sales initiatives.
  • Review contract wordings and documentation.
  • Contribute to account management, portfolio development, and business planning activities.
  • Conduct market and industry research.

EXPERIENCE

  • Working knowledge of international binder business.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritise tasks.
  • Progress in ACII examinations or a commitment to complete them.
  • Prior experience in delegated underwriting.
  • Familiarity with digital trading platforms.
