At Honda, we embrace inclusion in our various policies. Our contracts state that the hours are as required to fulfill the role with a minimum of 35 hours per week, and we offer flexibility for when you work. The regular office hours are 08:00 - 16:00 Monday to Thursday with a half-hour lunch break, and 08:00 - 13:00 on a Friday. However, we offer flexibility of when you work with our daily flex-time start of between 07:00 and 11:00, providing that there is no business requirement.
Whilst there is no contractual right to work from home, you can request to work from home for a maximum of 50% of the working days in any one month, again providing there is no business requirement to attend the office.
Role:
The primary focus of the Corporate Audit function is to support the key Honda Motor Europe (HME) objective of becoming a consistently profitable European region while ensuring that best practices are followed at all of our regional operations.
The Corporate Audit Division in HME is responsible for conducting Business Efficiency and Honda Corporate Governance audits in the European region to provide independent assurance to the Regional Operating Board, the Honda Motor Executive Council, and the Board of Directors. This will involve carrying out company-wide assessments for all entities across the HME region.
In addition, the audit division may also undertake specific audit assignments and investigations, including consultancy, supplier, and outsourced business partner reviews.
Main Responsibilities:
- Support the audit team in the preparation and monitoring of all audits.
- Assist with analyzing business processes and consider process optimization.
- Assist with updating audit findings and countermeasure targets.
- Assist with preparation of audit plan, schedule including travel and accommodation arrangements.
- Keep the audit tracker and activity log up to date.
- Maintain and update current audit processes and procedures.
- Assist with interim and final SOX Audits.
- Assist with ad hoc project work.
Qualifications, skills and experience:Required:- Must be an undergraduate, undertaking a relevant business degree or interested in developing a career in Finance, Audit, Law, or Business Management, looking for a placement as part of their studies.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to meet agreed deadlines.
- Ability to adapt to changing demands and conditions.
- A self-starter who works well both individually and as part of a team.
- Ability and willingness to travel in the UK and in the Region.
Desirable:- Knowledge of Microsoft Office packages (Teams, PowerPoint, and Word).
- Advanced Excel Skills (ability to produce graphs).
