An established industry player is seeking a dedicated administrative professional to support the education and training of undergraduate medical students. In this dynamic role, you will work closely with tutors and students, ensuring smooth operations within the academy. Your responsibilities will include organizing timetables, facilitating student placements, and addressing day-to-day queries. To contribute to the provision of comprehensive and effective administration support with regard to the full range of education, training and development of undergraduate activities within the Trust and the day-to-day operation running of the Academy. This post is responsibility for the Oxford Undergraduate Medical Students years 1-6.
We teach students from Kings College London, University of Oxford and the University of Bristol as well as occasional elective students. Each university has a different curriculum and different methods of delivery of teaching. All students require basic clinical skills guidance in the workplace but not all undergraduate students require tutorials, seminars or lectures. Your role is to be acquainted with the needs of each student group and to ensure that they receive appropriate experience in your department.
The blocks are designed to equip students with the skills to safely evaluate and manage patients and to prepare the students for their F1 posts. This builds on experience from previous years with an emphasis on the self-directed learning expected of students at this level.
The Undergraduate department is in the main Hospital building, which has excellent travel links (including good onsite parking), with many cities within easy range. The Trust is located on the edge of Swindon with access to a variety of outstanding areas to live which include both urban and village areas with short commutes to the site.
