Our client, a leading cybersecurity and web performance company, is seeking a Senior Account Executive to drive sales growth within the UK Public Sector. They provide cutting-edge solutions to enhance security, reliability, and efficiency for public sector organizations, including central government, local authorities, and public service institutions. Their comprehensive offerings include DDoS protection, Web Application Firewall (WAF), Zero Trust solutions, and network performance optimization.

Position Overview

We are looking for a driven sales professional with a passion for cybersecurity and public sector engagement. The ideal candidate will have experience selling cybersecurity and network security solutions to government bodies, agencies, and public sector organizations in the UK. This role requires the ability to engage with prospects through virtual and in-person meetings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop New Business: Identify, qualify, and close sales opportunities within the UK public sector.

  • Manage & Expand Existing Accounts: Maintain and grow relationships with public sector clients, ensuring long-term success and expansion.

  • Own the Sales Cycle: Drive the entire sales process, from prospecting to negotiation and closing.

  • Position Industry-Leading Solutions: Advocate for our client's security and performance solutions, including DDoS protection, Zero Trust, WAF, and CDN.

  • Engage with Key Stakeholders: Build strong relationships with CIOs, IT Directors, cybersecurity teams, and procurement departments within government bodies.

  • Work Cross-Functionally: Collaborate with marketing, sales engineering, and customer success teams to ensure exceptional client experience and retention.

  • Meet & Exceed Sales Targets: Achieve ambitious revenue goals and contribute to the company's growth within the public sector.

  • Stay Informed on Cybersecurity Trends: Maintain a strong understanding of government cybersecurity challenges, regulatory requirements, and industry trends.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity or network security sales, with a focus on the UK public sector.

  • Public Sector Expertise: Strong understanding of government procurement processes, G-Cloud frameworks, and cybersecurity challenges faced by UK public organizations.

  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with cybersecurity solutions such as DDoS protection, Zero Trust, WAF, CDN, and compliance standards.

  • Sales Acumen: Proven ability to prospect, negotiate, and close complex deals within the public sector.

  • Location: Must be based in the UK with the ability to engage clients through both virtual and in-person meetings.

  • Travel: Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings, industry events, and company engagements.
