UK Hostels Sales Manager

What will you do?

• Develop and implement targeted sales strategies to attract new hostel guests and group bookings.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with current clients, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business, particularly with backpackers, groups, and long-term stays.
• Identify emerging trends and opportunities in the hostel and budget accommodation market.
• Work closely with operations and marketing teams to ensure an excellent customer experience and streamline booking processes.
• Attend industry events, travel fairs, and networking meetings to promote the hostel’s offerings and expand its market presence.
• Negotiate contracts with group leaders, travel agents, and corporate clients while ensuring the balance between guest satisfaction and hostel profitability.
• Assist with groups inquiries, follow-ups, and maintaining an updated database of quotes and clients.

What do we look for?

• At least 2 years of proven experience in sales within the hostel, budget accommodation, or tourism sector.
• Academic background in business, tourism, or hospitality is preferred.
• Knowledge and experience working with group bookings, international travelers, and the specific needs of hostel guests.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to create lasting relationships with a diverse clientele.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with a results-driven mindset.
• Proficiency in office software (Excel, Word, etc.) and familiarity with hostel booking systems.
• Fluency in English (both written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.
• Availability to travel for business development and promotional events.
• A passion for the hospitality industry and motivation for personal and professional growth.
