Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of lead experience in a warehouse environment is essential.
  • Proficiency in RF Scan and experience with WMS systems are assets.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
DEPARTMENT MANAGEMENT (20%)
  1. Coach, mentor and develop team members
  2. Partner with the Receiving Supervisor to manage team workload/headcount to ensure team efficiency and effectiveness and meet business need
  3. Review team reporting, ensuring all members are aware of and meeting department metrics and KPIs
  4. Support in ensuring all Receiving SOP’s are documented and develop net new SOP’s according to business need
  5. Partner with Receiving Supervisor to ensure all team members have required training for Safety and Job Function
  6. Partner with Receiving Supervisor to ensure proper onboarding and training for all new hires
  7. Create and maintain a safe, clean, organized and productive work environment
DAY TO DAY (80%)
  1. Plan and execute daily Receiving tasks for current day and week
  2. Work with your team and Supervisors/Leads across the warehouse to ensure all daily responsibilities are attended to in a customer service-oriented and productive fashion
  3. Support in leading the Receiving team in executing against required daily deliverables (workflow prioritization, order processing, dashboard updates, ticket and escalation management)
  4. Support the team in executing any other required tasks or duties for warehouse operations, as required
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. 1-2 years of Lead experience within a warehouse environment
  2. Experience with all Shipping operations within the warehouse
  3. Experience across all areas of warehouse operations an asset
  4. Experience with UPS, Fedex, Couriers, LTL and container shipping
  5. Proficiency in RF Scan, MS Word, Excel and Outlook an asset
  6. Experience working with WMS system(s) an asset
  7. A self-starter who takes initiative and sets good example for the warehouse staff
  8. Strong problem-solving skills
  9. Ability to multi-task and shift priorities as needed
  10. Must have a driver’s license
  11. Physically able to lift heavy shipments and products between 50 to 70 lbs
