ROLE: TV Technology Strategy Manager
LOCATION: Staines-upon-Thames, Surrey, UK (Hybrid)

We are recruiting on behalf of a world-leading electronics company renowned for its 18-year dominance in the global TV market. Join their innovative TV Research Team, driving the future of television from their UK headquarters in Staines-upon-Thames, Surrey.

About the Role:

As a TV Technology Strategy Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the TV landscape by bridging the gap between cutting-edge R&D and real-world deployment. You'll collaborate with key stakeholders in the broadcasting and streaming industries, influence industry standards, and guide regulatory engagement across Europe.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Leadership: Identify new technical and commercial opportunities in the European TV market and help transition innovations from concept to commercial success.
  2. Industry Engagement: Represent the company in EU & National TV standardization and regulatory activities.
  3. Business Development: Provide technical pre-sales and business development support to accelerate the deployment of emerging TV technologies.
  4. Innovation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create innovative strategies that drive business objectives in a fast-evolving market.

What We’re Looking For:

We’re seeking a dynamic, forward-thinking individual with a strategic mindset and a passion for TV technology.


Essential Skills:

  1. A degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Solid understanding of consumer electronics, digital audio/video fundamentals, and SmartTV web technologies.
  3. Knowledge of broadcast and streaming technologies across the production-to-distribution value chain.
  4. Proven ability to represent organizations professionally in external engagements.
  5. Strong communication and presentation skills, with experience tailoring messages to diverse audiences.
  6. Willingness to travel internationally as needed.

Desirable Skills:

  1. Hands-on experience in embedded software development.
  2. Experience in content creation, broadcast/streaming industries, or broadcast B2B sectors.
  3. Fluency in a European (non-English) language.
