Tuition Centre Manager

The UK's largest after-school support providers of personalised Maths, English and Science programmes based on the National Curriculum is looking for a Tuition Centre Manager. Demand for tuition in the UK is currently surging at an all-time high, as parents look to provide additional support for their children. We are ideally looking for a candidate to work around Finchley, Mill Hill, Willsden and Cricklewood areas.

Administrative and marketing functions will all be managed by a central team, allowing you to focus on working with the children and your team of Teaching Assistants to ensure the best results for your students. Key elements of your role will include doing the initial assessments and designing personalised learning journeys for each child; monitoring their progress; liaising with parents, schools and the local community; and growing the enrolment of the Centre over time.

The successful Centre Manager will be a motivated individual but more importantly, will have a desire to help children reach their full potential, knowing the significance to both parents and students of giving children a helping hand when they need it.

As Tuition Centre Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  1. Overall responsibility for running the Tuition Centre, including of each student's learning progress and growing student numbers over time.
  2. Undertaking initial educational assessments of every student to identify their individual learning requirements, including identification of gaps, learning blockages and strengths.
  3. Designing individualised learning plans for each student, making use of a vast array of programmes and high-quality resources.
  4. Ongoing monitoring of student progress, including appropriate interventions or changes to the learning plan.
  5. Liaising with parents to discuss students' progress.
  6. Handling all new student enquiries from parents in a timely and effective way, with a view to growing student numbers (including a significant bonus incentive opportunity for results).
  7. Managing a small team of Teaching Assistants, including recruitment and training of new staff.
  8. Day-to-day running of the centre including the smooth running of the weekly classes, scheduling the rotas for staff and students.
  9. Maintaining good understanding of our Maths, English and Science programmes, and how these align to the national curriculum.
  10. Developing relationships with local schools and other community organisations to raise awareness of what can be offered.
  11. Consulting and supporting parent concerns such as any complaints or queries.
  12. Liaising with Head Office teams regarding admin, HR, finance, marketing and operational reporting.

We're looking for a Tuition Centre Manager with:
  1. A passion for working with children.
  2. Qualified Teacher (ideally maths, science, English or Primary specialist).
  3. Proven teaching experience.
  4. Must have excellent maths and English language proficiency.
  5. Engaging personality and customer service ethic.
  6. Experience with liaising with parents from multi nationalities.
  7. Proficient computer skills and knowledge of office software packages.
