Portsmouth Water are delighted to have an opening for a Trunk Main Technician for our highly regarded Network Department. As Trunk Main Technician, you will be responsible for the effective operation of the distribution trunk network and the identification of planned/reactive maintenance requirements. Responding to customer enquiries and water supply events/emergencies, you will ensure that all activities complement Portsmouth Water operating procedures and ensure all company and regulatory standards and requirements are followed.

Key Responsibilities
- To comply with all policies and procedures relating to Health and Safety.

- Delivering excellent customer service when dealing with internal and external customers.
- Encourage proactive and effective communications to help develop and maintain professional relationships with internal and external customers.
- Promoting and demonstrating continuous improvements to procedures/processes/working practices to enhance the level of customer service delivery across all functions of business activity.
- Ensure that all network activities are undertaken in an appropriate manner with due consideration and planning, and that all operations are completed in line with the relevant PW policies/procedures/RAMS.
- To seek improvements to all key activities within area of responsibility and recommend process improvements to maintain/enhance PW performance to ensure that all internal and external standards, targets and requirements are achieved/exceeded.
- Encourage a collaborative working culture across all interactions.
- Demonstrate and promote PW Company Values and behaviours.
- To actively participate in relevant inspections/audits to ensure performance and standards are maintained.
- To effectively maintain own performance and discipline in line with company values.
- Reporting of any near miss or actual near miss accidents/incidents.
- To effectively participate in any training or development programmes deemed necessary.
- Ensure compliance with agreed Department KPI’s and SLA’s.
- Ensure that all department processes, procedures and standards are followed in accordance with specification and to a very high and consistent level.
- Participate in out-of-hours work as required.
