Truck Wash Operative

The Logistics People are recruiting Truck Wash Operatives on behalf of Tech Wash.

Location: Rugby

Hourly Rate: £13.00 per hour

Working Hours: 5 on 3 off 08:00 - 20:00

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Truck Wash Operative to join our team. As a Truck Wash Operative, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of a fleet of trucks and trailers, ensuring they are in optimal condition. You will work closely with other team members to perform efficient and high-quality truck washing, detailing, and fleet cleaning tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform truck washing and cleaning tasks using appropriate equipment and cleaning solutions, ensuring all fleet is thoroughly cleaned and maintained.
2. Conduct regular inspections of trucks to identify areas requiring additional cleaning or repairs and report accordingly.
3. Use the company's app to ensure all reporting requirements are met.
4. Utilise gantry washers, pressure washers, brushes, and other cleaning tools to remove dirt, grime, and debris from truck exteriors, interiors, and undercarriages.
5. Clean and sanitise truck cabs, including windows, mirrors, dashboards, and seating areas.
6. Empty and clean trailer beds, removing any waste or foreign objects.
7. Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organised work area.
8. Report any maintenance or repair needs to the supervisor promptly.
9. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, requesting restocking when necessary.
10. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.
11. Follow company policies and procedures, including maintaining confidentiality and adhering to quality standards.
12. Provide excellent customer service and address any inquiries or concerns from truck drivers or other personnel.

Qualifications:

1. UK driving licence required.
2. Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a truck washing or automotive cleaning environment.
3. Knowledge of truck washing techniques, equipment, and cleaning agents.
4. Ability to operate gantry washes, pressure washers, steam cleaners, and other cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
5. Strong attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision.
6. Excellent organisational and time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently.
7. Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
8. Solid communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members and interact with truck drivers or other personnel.
9. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
